Knowledge Management
Like most Rotary Clubs, the Rotary Club of Oak Bay has a yearly change of committees that necessitates smooth and rapid transfer of information. Knowledge Management (recording and dissemination of tacit and explicit knowledge) is therefore important. As part of our knowledge management package our club members, and in particular the Committee Chairs, are encouraged to write “Preferred Practices” in various Rotary Avenues of Service. It must be emphasized that Preferred Practices merely give guidelines to committee chairs and other Rotarians, and neither the Rotary Club of Oak Bay nor the persons who have written these documents will be held liable in any event.
